nowadays i think people are to into the show and the production....spending too much time on technical things instead of writing music and lyrics...

I entered a contest to see if I could go to a forum in Wyoming....I didn't win but got to be on a conference call with the close but not good enough.....put on by a guy who has 20 couple # 1 hits....
The most important thing I took away from that is you can't just write words...there has to be music to make it a song....learn any instument and and least have a melody...scratch it out in a chord progression....if not your just writing a poem....
From my own experience the "Mona Lisa" is not a masterpeice because it was sold..it's a masterpiece because it was painted...
So I sit here and do my own......
