Hey Johnny, Yes, I think we should get the most out of what we have. I remember some recordings I heard on the Tascam Porta One studio (4-track cassette recorder). I wondered how they achieved such a high quality recording on such a low grade recorder. And songs that were recorded long before this technology craze like “He’s A Rebel” are amazing recordings. Though I think of samples as in terms of cooking. Using identical chefs, the better ingredients used in the stew the tastier. John
