Garageband.com (remember them?) was sponsored by no less a figure than George Martin, and it turned out to be a complete waste of everybody's time - that was people effectively paying to be critiqued as well (as a form of competition)...mind you, at least you got to try your hand at some constructive criticism!

Agencies that ask for money to listen to your music are of no use to anyone, except the people who do a quick listen and get paid.

This thread is a bizarre turn of events, but I guess personal feelings get hurt and people get annoyed...
