I think I would ask one more question.
What do you mean by do they work?
What is it you expect from them?
Are you a performing Artist?
A closet songwriter?
Are you looking to get cuts or film placement of your already finished songs?
You don't give much information on your profile so we have no way of knowing what you do other than you have an interest in music.
Give a little information and folks like Marc might be able to better answer your question.
