By the time we do come up with them, it is usually too late. It's great to attempt to make amends, but the chances of the other person accepting to the point of reconciliation are probably in the 30 percent range at best. Wish the odds were greater, but they're really not. But I believe that a lot of problems in relationships, whether personal or otherwise, can be resolved quickly once you figure out what the other party (singular or plural) is/are expecting. Just my 2c worth on this.
