Or...maybe you mean you're in normal tuning, and you need to play the chord that's a half step down from A? If so, that's an A flat chord: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.how-to-play-guitar.eu/guitar_chords/Ab/Ab_Guitar_Chord.gif) You put your first finger all the way across the strings just below the 4th fret, and fingers 2, 3 and 4 form what looks like an E chord.
