this latest version sounds more like 5 yr olds. There's nothing wrong with the biblical stories you used earlier either. The use of the word "exterior" in earlier versions is very un 5 yr old like. They might say "skin".

5 yr olds will know the stories but won't quote book chapter and verse.

maybe pull back on the reins a bit and just the right verse will come to you.
