It's not great with rhyming, but it's (somewhat) got a flow... Maybe, ha.
I was just a little girl Never saw my daddy that much But what I didn't know was the he did his job for us He'd call every night But that wasn't enough I needed the love- A daddy's love
& He'd say, "Close your eyes. I'm right there beside you, Honey, close your eyes- I'll be there to guide you. I'm still your daddy & you're still my little girl Don't give up, Not on your daddy's love."
I was sixteen & started seein this boy He was so worldly- Seemed like he knew it all & I got the call He lost his life Out on the road that night
& I could hear him say to me "Close your eyes, I'm still by your side. Baby, close your eyes, You don't have to hide, set your fears aside, & go on with your life. You'll see me again- When you close your eyes."
I sat down & cried I called my daddy tonight & I closed my eyes.

"Do not endeavor to be the smartest kid in a dumb class. Instead, you are better off being the dumbest kid in the smartest class, where you will be challenged and you will learn. If you aren't growing, you are dying." -Brian Austin Whitney
