I had my first lesson last Monday. It was a lot of fun. I spent the month before hand learning the basics (notes, and a few chords) so I was pretty well prepared. Went over chords and suspended chords, etc. I think I'm catching on pretty fast as I'm already playing songs at the end of the method book (Duncan) that I bought. Granted, I'm still a little slow, but it's there.
Anyway, I'm keeping the local college students as a last resort. But I have considered it.
