That old wandering solo on Steely Dan's "Josie" has probably stuck in my mind since I was in the cradle.
"Cold As Ice" by Foreigner is also short but memerable.
Also "Keep On Loving You" by Reo Speedwagon, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, "More Than A Feeling" By Boston and ""Don't Tell Me You Love Me" by Night Ranger.
I notice that most of the solos that I like are either in mellow songs or short and simple.
Some solos take up most of a song and showboat with guitar virtuosos.
Maybe fun to listen to, but not always a whole lot to remember.
