Sorry to say that I really can't call this alternative rock or rock at all. Doesn't make it bad or anything, just not rock.
I thought the "piano stabs" at 0:34 - 0:42, 1:38 - 1:53 and 2:51 - 3:01 were muddy and unconvincing to me. I would change to a cleaner piano sound. Now, I see others have commented positively on the piano sounds, so I may be in the minority here.
Good luck with the CD. Having a lot of variety and still be easy to listen to is a good thing.
