I'm doing a Seven hour drive after work today. I doing vaction coverage for a clinic in Stamford Ct this week. I'm planning on taking a train into NYC on Wed evening. I did a google search and came up with a Wed open mic at The Underscore, 1733 first ave. I won't take my guitar on the train. I'll just watch. I'm just looking for anyplace to get the flavor of the city. Do you have any suggestions for a different place? There is a chance I may work Friday. CBGB's comes up for open mic on Thursdays. Are they still open? I heard they were having trouble. I may just stay in my room and watch the Sabres vs the Islanders. Any way where would you go to spend an afternoon and evening on a Wed in NY?

"The standard by which I now measure the things in my life is the following: If I was on my death bed, or if I knew I had a short time to live, would this issue be important? If the answer is no.. I don't sweat it at all. If the answer is Yes, you better believe it goes to the front of the order of today's business!" -Brian Austin Whitney
