Yeah, I've been using Petes method, with the addition that I write down about how far down the page it is . Like 1/4, 1/3, !/2. 3/4
or whatever. That usually gets you within a half dozen or so. To be fair, you really need to do more that skim them, tho I admit that after a verse or 2 verses and a chorus
I often move on for the simple reason that thats as much as you'll get from a publ. or label. They say about 20 seconds is all you get and if it doersn't grab them by then, it's into file 13
