I recently read an article in the Taylor Quarterly publication regarding high strung guitars. It talked about the tuning and how the bass strings were tuned to the same pitch as some of the treble strings. I was a little unclear about how to high string a guitar exactly. It took me a little while to realize that you can't just tune the bass strings up but you have to use other strings but I am not sure which ones.
Does anyone know anything about this and also does anyone know if any string makers make a high strung set? I don't know anyone who sells strings individually rather than in a set.
