The room was awash with managers, since the theme was managers and they were to be found on and off the panel. RENA MALKAH

To Describe Rena Malkah, President and CEO of KICK ASS MUSIC GROUP would be more like taking a glimpse of a reality TV show on showbiz moms. But in reality, she’s much more.

From her humble success in the reality industry as the founder of CYR Mortgages, Rena has managed to build a stable, independent record group based in Toronto, Canada.

In addition, Rena managed to get them a country wide distribution deal through DEP Distribution with a chart topping video and single for UNTAMED’S song "Your Not Gonna Score".

Under the KICK ASS RECORD GROUP is sister companies KICK ASS RECORDS, KICK ASS MANAGEMENT, KICK ASS PUBLISHING, and KICK ASS DISTRIBUTION-deals with DEP and EMI Distribution and all run by this ‘superwoman’ who besides Alithea (20-York University student) and Daniella (16-high school student) also has a 10 year old daughter and member of ACTRA (Association of Canadian Television and Radio Actors), Jessica.

As well as label artists UNTAMED, Rena also manages the award winning, 4x-platinum urban music producer, RUDE (formally 2RUDE), who has produced some of the most influential Hip-Hop an R&B artists in Canada like Maestro, Snow, Glenn Lewis, Saukrates, K-os, Jellystone and Jully Black to name a few, as well as major U.S. players like Trick Daddy, Pharaoh Monch, and the "southern hot mommy" Trina as well as others.

Keeping in mind that Rena and the KICK ASS MUSIC GROUP is only in the infant stages of development, she has been able to compete with the best of them as KICK ASS MUSIC GROUP’S future is decades beyond any other urban record label in the country and with the addition of a at least three new generation urban artists under the KICK ASS GROUP over the next year, you can count on the complete domination of the urban music industry in Canada and beyond.
