To "WHAT", Rob? Listen to WHAT? You're just regurgitating directionless rhetoric from CNN. The world is up to its ears in $hit and you're describing the smell.
People want a reason to come together, Rob. What have you got? Handshakes and ball games? Seriously? What plan, Rob?
What in this lyric should make me want to be friends with you, Rob? Why should I want you to be my small town neighbor? Tony, I hear you — you want a plan or a reason to come together. The song isn’t offering a political plan or asking for friendship; it’s simply about reminding people that listening and engaging with each other matters. Ironically, your response is exactly the kind of reaction the lyrics describe — assuming, dismissing, and refusing to engage. That's exactly the reason why your lyric is so condescending... "ENGAGE" WITH WHAT?!?
