Tony, your response actually puts a big smile on my face. My lyrics kind of predicted your exact reaction. The song says people should stop assuming and start listening—and you responded by assuming things and explicitly saying you wouldn’t listen. Your reaction perfectly demonstrates the behavior the song is criticizing. In simple terms, the song says, “Nobody listens anymore,” and you replied, “I’m not going to listen.” To "WHAT", Rob? Listen to WHAT? You're just regurgitating directionless rhetoric from CNN. The world is up to its ears in $hit and you're describing the smell. People want a reason to come together, Rob. What have you got? Handshakes and ball games? Seriously? What plan, Rob? What in this lyric should make me want to be friends with you, Rob? Why should I want you to be my small town neighbor?
