Wednesday morning
Not ready to go
Yet.
Got coffee on
And sour dough bread
In the toaster
Weather wise no roaster
Hey it’s middle of winter
Got beginner band at 11
Drumming, an acoustic set
I’m not much beyond boom chuck
But I keep a steady beat
It’s a brass band
It’s a brass band
Like the sound of a tombone
Takes me downtown to
New Orleans
New Orleans
Pretty ole town
That I’ve never seen
Searching searching
For that r&b sound
Help me find it OK?
Stick around.

"Defeatist Pessimists and Rose Colored Glasses Optimists are lonely companions, victims even. Both ideologies imply predestined outcomes, and therefore breed inactivity in its victims. Inaction is the only sure way to lose at anything in life. All positive action guarantees at least a fighting chance." -Brian Austin Whitney
