Rob! That struck me immediately too! LOL
And it works to make the first two Verses more coherent.

[Verse 1]
You left me standing here,
my heart holding back its tears!
I'm still standing here,
so I Keep Holding On!

[Verse 2]
I'm trying to recall,
the last words I said at all! (I said, or, You said?)
I think they were goodbye,
so I Keep Holding On!

[Bridge]
My senses are useless!
My body is numb! No emotion left!
Everything is frozen in that moment in time! (Crescendo)

Verse 3
I'm still standing here!
Minutes turn into empty years!
My mind is lost! In my heart,
I Keep Holding On!

[Coda]
I don't think I can move!
Where would I go without you?
I don't know what to do!
I keep standing here!
I Keep Holding On.
I Keep Holding On.

There will always be another song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com
