10/23/25 A NOTE FROM ANNA ~ What an absolute honor it was to present U2 with the Woody Guthrie Prize at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, OK earlier this week! The Woody Guthrie Prize is an annual fundraiser to support the work of the Woody Guthrie Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to continuing Woody's enduring legacy. Woody and U2 have been aligned for decades. Whether it is protesting against war and violence, standing up for humanitarian rights, singing about greed, corruption, injustice. Each in their own time, in their own voice, they stand up and sing out time and time again for the workers, the poor, the hungry. U2 are modern torchbearers of this mission to make music that fights for dignity, equality, and humanity. They stand firmly in the lineage of ensuring that popular music is also a force for justice and truth. U2 carries this message onto the world’s biggest stages, proving this spirit is alive today.
