It's all Greek to me. And I can tell ya, what I don't know doesn't hurt. So, no explanations, please  Ha! I'm an impulsive 5y/o at heart... That reverse psychology works every time lol  The mathematics of chord structure and harmony don't require any explanation in MIDI; It's all right there on the graph. The subtleties of timing, intensity, and style are also there; Down to the millisecond. If Logic11 lacks anything, it's more options for "note by note" articulation, volume and pitch curves, and slight de-tuning... The "real" human touch  My son-in-law is a musician and a pretty sharp cookie. I may use him to introduce me to that world.
