This is a superb lyric, starting with the first 2 lines..... and I love how you took an old theme and burned the mundane box, most of us write in, giving it a newness that comes with the kind of writing expressed here.

Jilted my sky........I interpreted blue to be sadness, that’s why it makes sense

Even your use of the word “simply” is perfect....I think you may have given some thought to its use....
