A joke in a situation comedy had two friends discussing one girl's 'shallowness', I think was the gimmick. She was denying being shallow. Her friend replied calling B. S., saying, "You broke up with that last guy because he pronounced it Or-ee-GONE!" Friends in Newark, Ohio correct you if you say it any way other than 'Nurk'. We picked up a hitchiker coming out of Cincinnati with a cardboard sign saying, "Lancaster". After he was in the vehicle I thought I'd make conversation. "So you're from LAN-caster?" I inquired. "No," he said. "I'm from LANK-ester." A girl I worked with broke up with a guy because he said, "Stupider!" I have a Song titled, "To Or-e-GONE." I didn't want to go out with her anyway. So anyway, this is just a shout out to Oregon-ers to say hang in and hopefully we'll all be out Socializing soon with music in the air! Some Portland venues: Aladdin Theater. www.aladdin-theater.com . Acoustic. Folk. Rock. Berbati's Pan. Hollywood Theater. 603-236-2364. Key Largo. McMenamin's St. John's Pub. Mississippi Studios. Music Millenium Music Store. Do a live in-store show when the world comes back! Oregon Zoo Amphitheatre. Pick-a-Thon. www.pickathon.com . String Summit. First Presbyterian Church. Music on the Halfshell. Stewart Park. See you soon!
There will always be another song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com
