This is a fairly old topic here. Advertisers are the best bet if you can garner their support. Some go the way of paid subscriptions.
I don't have anything I am out to sell yet myself. But picking up on advetisers would seem to be the best.
I would eventually like a site with what the artists post along with a tech panel, and that gets in to security as well as other issues with computers and software.
On the on air radio stations where I live, there is the best advice on self promotion and tech advice from Leo Laporte and Kim Komando.
