John,

If someone acts in a dishonest or misleading way, is caught red handed, then comes here as themselves and uses, as their proof of legitimacy, a well known vanity scam credential site, yet they are able to ensnare unknowing victims who are just getting started into their clutches to take their money because you are softening the blow, then that is on you, not us. It was clear by their own example here they weren't even good at promoting themselves, suggesting that people would be wasting their money if that was their level of professionalism and honesty and ability.

Folks, PLEASE continue to do research, learn when you really NEED to hire a promoter and why (not many people really need a promoter, it's one of the last things you should consider spending money on and only when you're having success, doing regular shows, having widespread success which needs to be further promoted, THAT is when you might need to spend some money. But they won't drum up demand for you if there isn't already demand out there. They simply help get the word out once people are buying what you do already and you want it to spread wider or to tell them about a tour etc. By the time you need a promoter, you should be making enough money to pay for it with your earnings from your music, not your savings account. You should also probably have a TEAM of people helping you already. (See Mike Dunbar's article on having a "Team" on the Mentor board.

Please don't waste your money on dishonest companies.
