This is the eighth song for Justice's new cd. It features TJ Sadler. This version is unmixed so we can make changes. All comments and suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=840134&songID=12090805Miles Away TJ Sadler, Thomas Shea, Spencer Hansen verse 1 Our love makes us feel so close, I can hear you whisper in my ear. I'm just a west coast girl; You're home's the Jersey shore. chorus Baby you're the one for me. I could not love you any more. We're waiting for the perfect day. But baby, baby, right now we're just miles away. We're just miles away. We're just miles away. verse 2 Girl I know just how you feel Cause I want to be there with you. I remember with every breath babe You're faithful and I'm always true. pre-chorus You're soaking up the LA rays. I'm singing for these east coast crowds. So in love with a west coast girl; We're still waiting on the love we found. chorus Baby you're the one for me, I could not love you any more. We're waiting for the perfect day. Cause baby, baby, baby we're just miles away. We're just miles away. We're just miles away. We're just miles away. bridge Pretty soon this life is going to change. We'll be together and we'll stay. I'll look in your eyes again Cause you won't be far away. chorus Yea baby you're the one for me, And I could not love you any more. Its always going to be our day. Cause baby we're just miles away. Cause baby we're just miles away.

Hi Tom.
I'm with Doug-gotta nice sound, both of you have unique voices which is a plus. I have one small suggestion, it's not really a nit. I would prefer you only say "We're just miles away" on the 1st & 2nd chorus just three times--sing twice, then music and pause, then sing one more time. Then keep it four/five or whatever you are doing at the end chorus. To me, you may risk losing a little "build" or getting a very slight dragging effect after chorus when the song needs to get back to it's pace or what I call "drive." This could just be my personal taste, so it's just an idea for you to consider as an option. Great job, the both of you!

It sounds really good for the most part. The vocals are excellent and TJ has a very nice voice.
In the nit category - I did not like the first pre-chorus. The staccato delivery spoils the mood and the lyrics are too factual compared to the universal feel of the rest of them.
Otherwise - great.

I have to agree with Colin about that pre-chorus. I expected the duet to start at the bridge. I think I would like that better then trade off on the lines of the last chorus.
