Yes, it is another sad posting, please humor me. It is the anniversary of my son's death who bravely fought Leukemia and died at the age of 7. It has been Five years, but things do not get better with time, you just carry it all forward and try to help others and hope no one forgets the beautiful soul you once held. I'm still looking for music to this song, I now have thrown n some bad chords and guitar playing, (I even get my own words wrong...LOL!) on it just tonight..so..if you can tolerate it and can hear it...maybe this song will one day have a track! PAPER AIRPLANES on SoundClick Paper Airplanes by Tammy © 2010 Never will forget what the doctor said your sons too ill he'll need a bed the hair will fall from his head Momma are you alright? My son made planes inside his room to chase away the pain and gloom he'd throw them to the ceiling ZOOM! Momma did you see that? (chorus) Making paper airplanes to fly carrying our hopes to the sky we need to make the time go on by until you get your own wings. Monitors beep through the halls at night your sick again, I'll turn on the light send an airplane for another flight Momma can you help me? The shots, the drugs the constant care my child's pain that he can't bare send another airplane to the air Momma make it stop now. (chorus) Making paper airplanes to fly carrying our hopes to the sky we need to make the time go on by until you get your own wings. There wasn't much they could do it made an angel out of you now you fly where your airplane flew Momma will you miss me? (chorus) Making paper airplanes to fly carrying our hopes to the sky but this isn't goodbye until I get my own wings

Tammy,
I am truly sorry for your loss. 5 years and I'm sure it seems like yesterday. It's such an unbearable thing to lose a child I cannot imagine the feeling of emptiness. I bet Nathan was probably stronger than anyone else in all that he went through.
I can tell you are a strong person and have been through a lot so hang in there. My prayers are with you.
As far as the song I like the reference to "paper airplanes". I remember the days of making paper airplanes when I was a kid. Brings back all kinds of memories for me and now I will always remember Nathan when I think of those times.

Hi Tammy Tammy I'm lost for words, I have been through my own personal painful journey, I have lost kids, but mine are still alive. I can't imagine or feel the pain you are feeling, only just send you the biggest hug of LOVE. Tammy from the first time I saw this lyric, I felt your pain, so I'm asking you, if you can be patient, I will take it to my producer Rodney to have a look at, and I will pay for the whole production. This is a gift from my heart, and I promise you we won't let you down. I will talk to you soon about it. If you can send me an email with the lyrics, and what melody you have, that would be a great start. elliza1@bigpond.com.au Love your Aussie friend always Michele

Hi Tammy I'm worried about you. For someone who I've never met, I can feel your pain all the way from Australia. Are you okay Tam? Take off your mask Tammy, we are all here for you hey. We love and all care about you very much. I can't take away your pain, but I'm certainly here for you, I hope that helps a little hey. Lv Michele

I too remember this wonderful tribute to your son, Nathan. I love the chorus, especially the last one sung. This is a very moving song and will one day have the full production it deserves. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
God Bless, Jennifer

This is a wonderful way to keep Nathan's memory alive Tammy.
As a parent, I know you are living the worst nightmare a parent can live...even as I cannot fathom ghow you actually feel.
I can only say these days are for you and your family and hopefully, you can all focus on and carry with you the good memories you shared and move forward.
And I think you have painted a wonderful picture of Nathan for us. I see him folding his paper airplanes and following their flight...
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

Yeah - I remember it well -- wishing for you a lift in your days, because I'm sure Nathan wants his mom to be happy.

Tammy--
Nathan is certainly still alive in you, and in this song! I am so sorry for your loss, and the pain that will probably never go away!
This song really made me stop and think... reminding me not to take 1 day for granted with my own son, who is still in the "paper airplane" stage. Every moment is a blessing.
Your delivery in this song is gorgeous, heartfelt, and evokes the strongest emotion! May the Lord bless you and your family, and this song.. it deserves to be heard!

I am sorry you have had to go through this Tammny.
Your words were put together nicely and convey a lot of meaning. The symbolism of the paper airplane carrying hopes and perhaps dreams for a young boy is very good. Having been a boy I know what a paper airplane can mean to one.
I hope that as time goes by you can focus more upon the wonder and joy of having your son, than on the loss of him. But that take time, a lot of time.

Glynda, Ricky, Michele, Dan, Colin, Jen, Kevin, John, Joice, Jen W. and Doug,
Thank you all for comforting me and allowing me to share this personal event with you.
I thank you also for listening to this song acapella and now with bad guitar music to it, but I yearn to make this song suitable for fundraising purposes, it is important to me.
I am over-whelmed that you all could touch my heart when I am sad, and I hope I can do the same for you and others because that kindness and caring is meant to be shared.
My parents have accused me of hiding in my music, but I don't see it that way, I am using it to express my emotions and I will put that into all of my songs and lyrics and into others songs I have the privilege to sing because one day, my voice might be heard up and over the clouds to the beautiful ears of a boy I love so very much.
I appreciate your friendship and understanding.
Tammy
Michele...I pm'd you.

Hey Tammy, I'll help anyway that I can to put this to music. I want to finish our duet first. Maybe a better producer than myself can also contribute. The final production should be great.

Listening to this and reading the lyrics just brings tears to my eyes, Tammy. I can hear the music tracks in my head. If I can help let me know. Vic

Tammy ... my heart ached while listening to you play this mournful tune!
Am not sure if you should keep it in this state of production, or make a wonderful recording. I would be torn between the two decisions if I was you. But it's a great tune!

I remember this lyric well too, Tammy. The chords and melody you have here are a real nice fit, I think. It's going to be a gem. You already have offers from people way more talented than me to help you with this - but let me know if you think there is anything I can do to help it along the way. Scott
