Mornin' Everybody:
Have we ever twisted this thread into a tapestry of wonder. Speaking of the impressive Royal Wedding... I can't be certain but I'd swear I saw Marc Alan Barnette seated near the choir in Westminster... and the lady seated next to him had a remarkable resemblance to "Duchess Fergie."
Petra... I was concerned that you had left us... and it is so good to see our fears were unfounded. Brian's bark is worse than his bite and he means well, although it sometimes comes out as being a bit harsh. If we had just a tenth of his problems, we would probably not handle things as well as he does.
Mennonites and Amish folk are an interesting group. I admire their willingness to cling to the past. It appears that each group's elders determine what is acceptable and what is not. One group in Arkansas pretty much meet the pattern of the mold except they are permitted to drive modern vehicles. The prime requisite is that the vehicle be black.
I can't imagine living in a world without music. I suppose I'd just humm alot... LOL!
My best to the Royal Couple. May they enjoy their honeymoon and their eventual return to duty in North Wales where stark beauty and remoteness abound.
Nigel... you have a sense of humor unequalled here at JPF. Thanks for making my day.

I once saw a documentary about groups of people who lived a very long life. There was one cult of monks who all lived to a ripe old age...they had a simplr life did not drink or fornicate or play music or had things like electricity or modern technology. They spent most of their time praying in deep thought and medidtaion.
One wag commentating said...and you call that LIVING.

There's a island off Greece where monks live like this Jim. Very primitive. Doc on TV last week. This order allow no women on the island, the devil's temptation.
Pray for 15 hours a day. Live off the land, grow and make their own food. These men come from all walks of life, US, France, Germany..

Yeah Petra sounds similar......but I would give 20-30 years off my life expectancy NOT to have to live like that. 60-70 years of happiness is far better than 100 years of misery.

Hey Jim, you could always go to those retreats for men. They go off in the woods, camping gear, and their food. No women or booze. A Boundinf thing with men and their spirituality. Sing and/or chant over the fire in the wee hours of the night. Think it's for 2 weeks or so? Petra

I'd rather have gone to a retreat with just me and a bunch of cuties... back in the day... when I was single. But not now... I'm a very happily married man.

Dang Dave, Speak for yourself! What was this post about again? Oh, the Wonder and Misery of Computers. For a minute there I thought it was about women. Hummn. Probably the same thing. Don't you just love Computers, er women. Honest, I have to fight em off with a stick, or was that a Mouse.

Hi Petra:
No no! I don't kiss and tell. You'll have to ask Roy Cooper about kissing. His motto includes something about kissing frogs... LOL!
Hi Ray:
Yes, we've pretty well hijacked Marc Alan's thread... but I'm sure he won't mind. By the way, I noticed that he's gotten over being chided by JPF Management and is back posting again... and I'm happy to see him back. I hope things in Brunswick are okay 'cause those twisters that struck the rest of the south seemed to begin a few miles west of here. One passed right over Glen Rose without touching down, thank goodness.

Hi, Dave, Gees, was hoping you spill the beans on your wild past in the woods with your zillion cuties. Roy is the Kisser here, but does he Kiss n Tell? Ray you are too funny. Petra

Dave, When I look at all that distruction those tornadoes caused it looks just like the War pictures from places like Iwo Jima. I'm sure we will send some money to the Red Cross to help out. Those people really got hammered. You never know what will happen. That is why I am frugal and Conservative. You have to be like the Boy Scouts. Be Prepared.
