Well....Hope the JPF Awards show is going well. After trying for 30 minutes to log on to SyncLive...I still can't get it to work.

I tried for an hour and a half last night and never got it Emily . Trying again. In my case it said "Blocking animation" and couldn't get it fixed--Now it says "allowing" but haven't got it yet

I think the site is down. It keeps crashing. There was also a clock counting it down today and it was completely wrong.
Should have gone to Nashville!!!

The letter I received said that we only had to log onto www.jpfolks.org, which I am, to see the show. It didn't say anything about signing up at synclive...said we could watch it right from the JPF Home page. So far I'm getting nothing, and my Adobe flash 10 is fully updated. The countdown clock was right when I logged on, but as soon as it counted down to zero...nothing. I am SO disappointed! I was looking forward to this all day...

They only threw this thing together one day before the show last night, so I really didn't expect it to be perfect. Hopefully someone is working on it as we speak. Don't blame anybody. The idea came fast. Spur of the moment.

Ditto that from France. I think there are technical problems, but there's no live contact info to tell the developers what the error messages are; Going to the SyncLive site, which wasn't supposed to be necessary, I got one stating that I couldn't see content because I had an TCP error and must contact my system administrator. If anyone is looking at this from JPF tech staff, there are issues on the server side, could be simple to fix.

Actually the home page is www.jpfolks.COM -- the synchlive worked fine for me last night, but it just isn't happening tonight. I'll come back a little later. Kevin

Hey, I think it is starting to come on line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is not buffering to well, but we'll see if it improves.

I found the site very confusing and still can't get the web cast to work.

Emily, Just go to the home page at www.jpfolks.com and the live feed should start automatically. It just started working in the last few minutes. Kevin

I understand that, and appreciate they even tried. Technology is a cruel animal. Kudos to JPF for attempting this! Hopefully it will work soon :-) Next year I will go...and Tweet the results.

Hey everybody.....it finally started working for me around 6:35....but was choppy....kept breaking up and finally stopped working.
Oh well....at least they tried to give us a live broadcast. These things happen.....there's always kinks to work out when you try something new.Hopefully someone will post some video for us to take a look at later on.

Well, it's now 7:10 EDT, and I logged on at 5:30 so I wouldn't miss it. I've tried every site combination...still nothing. Everything is fully updated on my end, and I have broadband service and still am not getting anything. There's something wrong with the SyncLive site, I think. I tried to open a membership there, and the page froze up and it wouldn't take my information. I even lowered my firewall thinking it might be interfering with the stream. I'm fairly sure it's a SyncLive problem, and not ours. I watch a lot of media for our organization, so my PC is always working right...except for this show. It simply might be a matter of the location. The Tenn. mountains may be interfering with the broadcast stream. I really do hope someone had the good sense to videotape the show...

Not a good trade off on SyncLives part. Don't know what the deal was with JPF but it was a last minute thing. Hope they recover. It was a gamble.

Well, I can't see the awards show either. Bummer. But I want to send a huge thanks and respect to all the JPF people (especially Brian Whitney - the creator!) for all you are doing. Last night's Pre-Show was amazing. The streaming quality was the best I have ever seen. I had it running through my home theatre system and it was like watching TV - that good! This is such a disappointment to all - especially the nominees that can't be in Nashville - that the show isn't streaming tonight (thus far) but I am willing to bet there are none more disappointed than the organizers themselves. After last night's stellar production & streaming, I am sure we all had the highest hopes for another great night watching the awards show. But hey... we are dealing with technology. Let's just keep putting a positive vibe out there to the cyber universe that it's going to work soon and we can see the rest of the show. I wanted so bad to make it to Nashville but just couldn't. My partner, Ali Matthews is nominated for Contemporary Album and she is stuck in the hospital having just gone through major surgery and I wanted to record this for her. I hope she wins but best of luck to all the nominees. Again, Brian, thanks so much for what you have done for all of us "Just Plain Folks" and keep doing what you do. You are a good man. The show will go on and it will be good. All the best from Stratford, Ontario, Canada.
