Hi Guys, Thought I might introduce you all to a new organization forming in the Nashville area, Its called Indie connect, and it's Ceo is a guy by the name of Vinny Rebas. It's basic purpose is to connect different people within the business, and provide an opportunity to network with other people that may need their help or services. I have attended several of their get togethers, and I can see the value of the networking process they have set up. There is no pressure to participate, and so far the only money involved is the $5 fee to attend the meetings. Each meeting has a guest speaker, who talks about a subject he has expertise in. Rand Bishop and I are members from this community and they could really use some participants like a lot of the people in this forum from the Nashville area. They also welcome speakers to give a presentation at the weekly meetings. Anyways, check it out, I think many of the people here could benefit from becoming involved with this project. http://www.indieconnect.net/page/page/6435807.htmBilly Darnell

I attended the meeting this afternoon in Brentwood and was really pleased with the experience. As a singer/songwriter just getting started, I received some very helpful feedback and met some very kind, friendly, and exceptionally talented individuals.
I will be referring many of my friends in the area and would encourage anyone to go and check it out.

Hi Helen,
Glad you went, and equally as glad to hear your experience. It's really a nice format, and a great opportunity to meet some folks in the business. All the speakers they have had so far have great credentials, and really can offer insight into the business of making music from every aspect.
I enjoy attending the meetings, and having some place local where I can meet with others like myself, to compare notes and just generally exchange information, and experiences.
They are a great group of people, and I hope that more of the participants here in the forum will get involved with them. There are some great minds in this forum that could contribute so much to the group, and take so much away with them in the process.
Thanks for checking them out and I hope it leads to many good experiences , and things for you in the future. I look forward to meeting you at one of the meetings sometimes.
Billy Darnell
