Hi Daniel,
Hopefully we can help you pull off a third straight Grammy win this year. We're 2 for 2 so far! = ) If you haven't checked out Daniel's work, take a listen. And his last 2 winning albums were done on his Apple Laptop.. that's about as Indie as you can get these days.

Thank you Brian, Brenda, Dude and Makena! Hey, that rhymes!
Brian, would it be possible to send out an email to bring us all together on this topic? I really believe the support of JP Folks was the reason we got as far as we did the last time! We would like to support other members who are up for a nomination. We're holding on to our ballots in the hopes of supporting our fellow JP Folks!
Brenda, Lydia and I will be looking for your artists on the ballot!
aloha, Daniel

Like Daniel, I am holding on to my ballot in order to explore more of the music. I would love to know what else has been submitted by JPF members, because I know there is a LOT of wonderful music among this group that I can support! I posted a topic on the JPF myspace group at http://forum.myspace.com/index.cfm?...A57C3-CEEC-467D-85118684A02380FB27426531--I don't know if that will direct any traffic to this thread, but it can't hurt. Sienna & Toast - welcome to JPFolks! Do keep coming back to visit - it's a great place. Brenda

Hi Guys,
What are the deadlines? I am limited on net access here on the French Rivera... = ) I am not sure I'll have a newsletter out very soon. How long would I have? I bet we have 100's of JPF potential nominees at least.

Brian,
According to the voting rules, the ballots "must be RECEIVED (Not Postmarked) by November 7, 2007." Ballots received after that date will not be tabulated.
With the state of snail mail, that means we should be mailing them off in a few days.
Thanks for asking,
Brenda

ack... I doubt I can beat that deadline for the nominations.. but I will try to get the word out to some voters I know personally to check you all out. I can likely help out those who are nominated however.

Hey Daniel,
Wasn't Makena a previous JPF award nominee?

Wow, I feel like an ass for not getting on this sooner; I just opened the letter I got from the Academy earlier and looked through the entry list; "Antigravity" is there for the Best Dance/Electronic Album category, and the song "Breathing You In" is in the best D/E song. Too bad the deadline is in 3 days... could have drummed up some support, but now I doubt I'll get a single vote. I feel like smacking my head into a wall! agh! I'd say "maybe next year" but I haven't even started on another album yet..

I was thinking of Manea not Makena. = )
I've gotten dozens of email from people asking for help on pre-voting.. but I have only contacted folks about those who came here and posted. If they can't bother to spend 2 minutes posting here then why should we spend time helping them? I have forwarded those who DID bother to post here. Hopefully they will check you all out!
