Hi Folks, Here are some grainy and blurry pics I took last night from my office window and front yard of the aftermath of the storm last night. I used my old camera rather than the new one (damn.. that was a mistake because they could have been SOOO much better!). But the view was amazing as I was sitting here working and I am glad I at least got something. Here they are untouched in any way. Mother Nature really is the best artist isn't she? This is a general shot right outside my office window. It's a bit darker than this following version. You can see a bit more of the neighborhood in this one. This one eliminates the houses and just focuses on the trees. This one was similar.. just a little different lighting. This one would make a perfect poster for a Haunted House movie. = ) This is probably my favorite of the batch. If it had just been a bit more in focus and a high resolution I would have put this in a frame in my office. Still might. I apologize for the crappy quality of these. At least I got some record of the amazing colors I saw. Brian

Wow! Those are great! I like the last one too, it contrasts the height of the trees with the horizontal splash of brilliant light. Yes, nature is the best! Love that plum colored sky too against the vibrant warmth of the mango orange.

The glow of the orange is brilliant!!! I'd frame that last one too. I don't think the quality is as poor as you think. You know how we are...always our own worst critics. Bree

Nope.. that's the way they turned out. I wish I had used the hi res Canon camera. At the time I just thought.. hey, that's cool.. I should snap a couple pics.. if it ever happens again (not likely) I will be prepared next time .

High five on those, Brian. I love the last one, too.
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Hard to believe you can get beautiful photos like that in a suburb on the south side of Indianapolis. I guess there's beauty all around us if we notice. = )
