I have had a Roland 570 since 1996. It was specifically because I compose piano music and wanted an instrument capable of good quality sound and enabling me to record for processing CDs through my computer I have not succeeded in producing CDs of quite the sound quality the keyboard is capable of. That is probably my failing to understand the technicalities but I wonder whether it is time to update to a new instrument with better specification. I am reluctant to change for the sake of it but would consider doing so if I am convinced a new instrument would be a real improvement.
Roland have suggested an 'alternative' but do not comment in a comparative sense so I am stuck. Frankly spec lists leave me cold. Does anyone feel able to help me please?

I would say that trading a keyboard that is ten years old would be a VAST improvement. The quality of sounds and features alone is worth the consideration. In my opinion, you would do well to consider the Korg TR series. www.korg.com "Sing"cerely, Jeff
