Stoic (c) Jesse Earl Bauman, 2004
I’m pretending that I mind When I don’t give much thought To anything outside These four walls
I’m pretending that I’ll fight When probably I’ll lay back Cause I don’t really mind No, not at all
I’m pretending that I’m sad When really I Abandoned all emotion Last time around
Emotions let ya down (Musical bridge a.k.a. the hyper part)
I do these all for your sake You always seem so worried But it don’t seem To satisfy
I just can’t pretend
But one day We’ll move on And we will finally let go Yes we will finally let go No you won’t find my ghost Lingering behind No I don’t really mind

At the end you say we will move on but yet the singer has already moved on his own mind. Maybe she'll let go and I'll have peace of mind....Just an idea.
I'd like to hear the music because of the way this is set up.
Why not "all these" instead of, "these all"?
Those verses at the first really held my attention....I think they're real good....
And that's the Rockito Ergo Sum of it all....<g>

Hey Eric, thanks for looking at this lyric...
Okay, maybe the end bit didn't come across as I meant... The we will move on was kind of a way to say one day we will die without actually using the word die... cause I didn't want people to make this seem depressing because it isn't sposed to be.
This also isn't a love song or anything... it is kind of a friend thing about some thing-a-ma-jig. So the she part wont really fit... even though the friend is a girl I don't want it to seem... love songy.
Hopefully but doubtfully this will get a rough acoustic solo recording when my bud gets back in town so he can record me... but I dunno... these recording things never work out much for I.
I'm glad you dug the verses. Hopefully this song will catch when people hear it. I have this thing where I feel like my songs bore folk.
Didn't mean to shoot down all yer ideas there... I guess I didn't make the song too clear though so I blame it upon me and I.
So yeah, thanks again.
(Rockito Ergo Sum means I Rock, Therefore I Am. I made up Rockito... Ergo Sum is latin.)
