G'day all JPFolks, I just wrote me a fun song and I call it "I love kissin you,I do,do,do,do!"/(c)17.04.04/Ray Thyer.
Verse1. I don't know what I'd do when I grow old. True,I'll be past my prime but I won't mind. Instead of rushin there to be on time I'll stay in my bed 'n sleep in till nine.
Verse2. Workin hard brings the best outta me 'n when the nights come, know it won't be long before I rush through the door 'n once more do agin what I done many times before.
Chorus. Life for me is busy, busy, busy. Gotta run, run, run walkin's too easy. Lotsa things I do are fun, fun, fun, fun. I like kissin you,I do,do,do,do!
Verse3. I'm never ever too busy, you see. 'n all my life nothin's been easy. One day 'Old Age' I'm told will come to me, that will be great,I'LL BE ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT! Chorus. Life for me is busy, busy, busy. Gotta run, run, run walkin's too easy. Lotsa things I do are fun, fun, fun, fun. I like kissin you,I do,do,do,do!
Verse4. My life couldn't get better than this, seven times a week for me sure is bliss. Darlin, I'll love you truly till I die, Sweetheart, you make delicious apple pies!
Outro: I'll love,love you,love,love you till I die... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Can you guess which one of us has a birthday round the corner? I hope youse like me song, please tell me true if you do. best wishes, Ray in Australia.

Well Ray, do they have "retirement" age down in Aussieland? Makes me wonder if you're the birthday "boy"? LOL Anyhoo, like the little ditty, think you put it with a lively but simple tun. that it might just take a run and jump off into the dee' sea of songs! I agree with Sharon Ray. Not far from a sing this one. I would do a bit more work on it though. Get rid of some of the repeats for startes. Something like this in the chorus, would swing along better for example: Chorus. Life for me is busy. Gotta run. Walking is siply too slow. Way too slow for me. Lotsa things I do are. So, much, fun. And kissing you. Has to be number one. Graham (Have fun fun fun, gotta run run run) H ------------------ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/grahamhendersonmusic.htm

Ray, you are SUCH a romantic devil. This is so sweet. I bet you get a nice kiss from your wife for this.
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Ray! Tricia said you write such romantic songs.....you know, a very naughty thought came to me...but this question needs asked of your wife....Verall, is Ray really all that romantic and is he an exceptional kisser? Not really any of my business, but you know...curiosity always kills the cat! LOL

Hey Ray Down Under, You're absolutely right . . . old age should never stand in the way. Ain't nothin' quite like a good kiss! Very nice little sentiment . . . go hug (kiss) your wife . . . I'm sure she deserves it. Larry ------------------ www.taylormadesongs.com

G'day Sharon Irene Wells, the official retiring age for men in Australia is 65 years of age but the Government here is trying to get such folks to put off retirement and work longer and offer more Superannuation Benefits if they do.But I know blokes on the land who never stop working and some of them are past 90 years of age. I can only hope that I can too. I asked me darlin wife, Verell both of your questions and she said quote " I don't know if you are so very romantic and don't know if any one else kisses better than you cause we have been married 41 years come September", end quote. All I can add to that is us blokes hereabouts don't worry bout such things, we reckon if our shielas are happy then we are happy too. Thanks for liking me song, best wishes,Ray.
G'day Mate, Gee praise from an expert is praise indeed! I rather hoped that the Chorus was the gimmick/fun part of me song and I had thought that the line -"I love kissin you, I do,do,do,do!" would sound like- "I love kissin you, I do, do-do, do!" when music was put to it and it would be fun to sing and listen to. I appreciate your suggestion and will meditate on it. thanks again for your support. best wishes,Ray.
G'day Tricia Baker, thanks for likin me song. I hope you are right and I aim to find out tonight, best wishes,Ray.
G'day telelwang, May I please call you Larry?, me dear mother and father always told us kids to mind our manners and address folks with the name we were given when we first met. Sorry I digress, I appreciate your taking your time to looksee at me song and for your kind words, best wishes,Ray.

Ray you can tell Verell that my husband was the only one I'd ever really kissed and we were almost together 25 years when he passed away and I thought he was the best kisser in the world....but then I was prejudiced by my feelings for him also....though apparently from the reaction of all the women in the area after we first got married, he must've had some good reputation as far as the ladies were concerned....it took me the first five years of our married life to make "friends" with any of his female friends before I came along! LOL

G'day Sharon Irene Wells, Noel and Stan,I apologise for the delay in not responding before now. I am flabergasted that all of my family travelled so far just to be here for me birthday on Anzac Day.I guess my present feelings can best be said by telling the wisdom words of me Dear Mother-"Son, you will be remembered by the quality of the people with whom you keep company". I sure do appreciate your bonzer support throughout the last year and three months since I joined JPFolks, youse and others like you are among the best people I have ever had the pleasure to meet al-beit not in person.God bless you all and my best wishes too, Ray.

Hello Ray. Well first off I must say I enjoyed your lyric it was a lot of fun. As well, my wife Dianna and I celebrated our 23rd yesterday and she too is the only one I have ever been with, ever kissed et al... and quoting you. "If they are happy then so I am I."
