Tom has asked that we post our day gig info. I am a free-lance graphic designer which includes CD artwork, websites and posters. I also have a part time day job as a marketing associate. Otherwise, I'm writing songs and making music! Sometimes I spend way too much time on the Just Plain Folks message boards!! ) Annie C. [former chapter coordinator]

Pardon me for jumping in here, as I'm new, but this seemed to be a good topic... I have a small housecleaning business, and I hustle up bass students in my spare time. Nights, I play with blues bands...well, it's sort of like a day job in some ways...

Hi Beowulf? Ann Arbor? Nice to hear from a neighbor! What blues band? Where do you teach?
The new chapter coordinator suggested the topic.
You should check out the meeting on wednesday if you can!
Info is on the board.

Hi Annie!
I'd heard your name before but we've never met, I think...my real name's Todd Perkins. Right now I play with Michael Katon on Wednesdays at the Northfield Roadhouse (we host a Blues Jam there), and I also play with the Witch Doctors on the weekends around SE MI. I was teaching out of my house, but practical considerations are moving me to a studio space in Music-Go-Round out by Ann Arbor/Saline Rd. I would love to make it to a meeting, but Wednesdays I'm at the Roadhouse 8-1. That is if this amazing head cold will let me! Where on the board is the info? I've become stupified through the influence of the Rhinovirus, only a few brain cells working right now...

I am the Queen of Randomness. My various hats: 1. Singer-songwriter: I average a show a week. 2. Freelance graphic/web designer: I'm building a portfolio so I'm not entirely "official" yet, although I do bring in some income this way. 3. Staff (arts, music/worship, outreach) with University Reformed Church in Ann Arbor: This is a part-time job that will turn into full-time in August, but the catch is that I have to fundraise so my church can afford to pay me (our congregation is primarily composed of students, so we're happy to be in the black at the end of a year). Still, it's an amazing job that's more for the love of it than anything else; where else would you get to create your own position based on your interests and passions? 4. Model: This one almost seems funny to list since I don't make a big deal about it, but it's the last thing on my list of crazy ways to make money so I can play music. :-) ------------------ DawnXianaMoon.com Melodic alternative folk pop infused with passion and honesty.
