This song isn't far away from perfect.
Do not say Darlin' twice.
Do not say playin' twice.
Do not use the word light twice.
Do not use the word sick twice.
Do not use movie twice.
See below . . .

V1 Even though you knew I cared You were longing [hoping is a sweeter and more positive word] to be there You left in a hurry Told me not to worry Time to go, God‘s callin’ You left whisperin’, “I love you, My Darlin'"
[Darlin'] Honey, How are things in Heaven? Are you singin’? And strummin [playin'] your guitar? Is everybody up there smilin’? How are things in Heaven so far?
V2 I can see you in my mind A movie of good times Starts playin’ every night. Then I see a pretty sight [Bright Light delete or change] You’re all dressed in white Beaming in God’s Great Light.
BR Someday, we may be there together You won't be just a picture in my mind. When the Lord came callin' you home. You didn't want to see me left behind.
CH So Honey, How are things in heaven'? Are you singin'? And strummin' your guitar? Is everybody up there smilin’? How are things in Heaven so far?

I just sang it and it sang beautifully. Now buy a copy of the Songwriter's Market and sell it.
Fix the punctuation.
I think the title is actually, "How Are Things in Heaven?" [You don't need "so far" in the title.]
First get a demo, and have it copywritten with a lead sheet [melody line and chords] or sheet music. Register it at BMI.
DO NOT IGNORE THIS ADVICE.
If someone tries to "steal" a song - THEY will have a lead sheet, and you shouldn't just have a piece of paper with some dumb numbers on it.
The Songwriter's Market is under $20.

And while the 'preciations are are flying about like confetti at a Dick Clark bash, I wanna say, I 'preciate this lyric (especially the latest incarnation ['mander]), and look forward to hearing it. This is a good ol' timey eye-damp'ner, CJ!
