Nice feelgood song.

Could become

I feel like I'm playing the fool
in some madman's play.

It might come across as more natural, depending on the melody.

My face finds it disagrees,
with what's on my mind.

I kinda get that this means despite all the day is throwing at you, you're now smiling -
but it just doesn't feel like the best way to get that across...

Just a dash-off Lyric, written without benefit of guitar in hand to inform the Lyric of Rhythmic nuances to obey in the Prosody that makes the marriage of Lyric and Melody work.
In Verse I I do manage to get a Singer-Character telling his story, First-Person.
He gets quickly to the Chorus where he addresses himself to a Love-Interest Character.
So it does have some merit potential for a Song.
