Here's one dashed off to use a phrase from another post.
It's One Of Those Days
(Verse I) It's One Of Those Days, when nothing seems to work. Every time I turn around life's giving me a jerk. I feel like the foolish character in some madman's play. (Chorus Refrain) It's One Of Those Days.
(Bridge) Your smile unlocks the mystery. Suddenly it's mine. My face finds it disagrees, with what's on my mind. You wash all my worrying away. It's One Of Those Days.
(Verse II) It's One Of Those Days, the world turns inside out. I wonder what I'm doing, what it's all about. Then you come and shine your loving light, chase my darkness away. It's One Of Those Days.
Your smile unlocks the mystery. Suddenly it's mine. My face finds it disagrees, with what's on my mind. You wash all my worrying away. It's One Of Those Days. It's One Of Those Days. Your smile unlocks the mystery. It's One Of Those Days. (Eight 'hits' total, on THE Hook, the title, to drive it home!)

Nice feelgood song.
I feel like the foolish character in some madman's play.
Could become
I feel like I'm playing the fool in some madman's play.
It might come across as more natural, depending on the melody.

My face finds it disagrees, with what's on my mind.
I kinda get that this means despite all the day is throwing at you, you're now smiling - but it just doesn't feel like the best way to get that across...

Thanks for reading. Just a dash-off Lyric, written without benefit of guitar in hand to inform the Lyric of Rhythmic nuances to obey in the Prosody that makes the marriage of Lyric and Melody work. In Verse I I do manage to get a Singer-Character telling his story, First-Person. He gets quickly to the Chorus where he addresses himself to a Love-Interest Character. So it does have some merit potential for a Song.

"We are all millionaires, billionaires even, because right now we have today. And today is worth more than all the wealth we can imagine. So spend today wisely. Spend tomorrow wisely. Enjoy the wealth of today, and realize it is worth far more than all the money and possessions of tomorrow and beyond." -Brian Austin Whitney
