Forget about her in ten years. I wrote the song. Mike Zaneski did everything else. Thanks Mike. https://www.soundclick.com/bands3/?bandID=1337933Saturdays still on my mind finally leaving her behind But I'll stay strong won't shed tears and forget about her in ten years V Ain't decided where I will live if I'll have more love to give Doing fine then midnight appears but I'll forget about her in ten years B1 There's a blue moon in the sky and he's got his eyes on me I know he'll be back again tomorrow night just you wait and see V Kicking stones all through the day she cheated that's why I feel this way Hey slow poke, another beer here help me Forget about her in ten years Music B repeat V Got my home on my back guess i'm free no longer trapped No way, that's Just rain, not tears forget about her in ten years Outro And when that blue moon disappears

Hi Travis. Very smooth production which helps to move along the simple story. Has a happy sound to it. Another for the D. O'Donnell fans maybe. Love Mike's falsetto ending. Vic

Like that bridge: "There's a blue moon in the sky and he's got his eyes on me" and the melody there is sweet too.
Your title and hook are great, put a smile on my face.
I was a bit unsure about this song at the start, but it is growing on me.

Travis (and Mike),
Well, this is better than anything I can imagine putting together on my own . . . really nice vocals, harmony and arrangement—another nice job by Mike (and agree with Vic—nice falsetto at the end). So really well done. That said, I’ll agree with Owen that the intro seems off—the contrast between the banjo and the accompanying instrument doesn’t quite mesh to my amateur ear. But then, the musical interlude is pretty killer. So take my feeble comments for what they are worth. in the end, I really liked what I heard—nicely done.
All the best,
Deej

Loved the production on this! Nice song Travis! The only nit I had was I wish the "ten years" represented something; I was hoping it was significant.
As an example, (that wouldn't work in this song)
"I'll forget about her in ten years....when I turn twenty" Anyway, a nice tune to listen to! Best, -Mike

Is there nothing the talented Mr. Z can't turn his hand to? Vic's allusion to Daniel O'Donnell is a good one. This sounds just like something you would hear on Midwest Radio in Ireland, where they keep the flame of old-style country music burning Nice lyric too with a clever hook.

Americana is enjoying pop status these days.
Mumford and Sons, Avette Brothers, Bon Iver and it's in many of the hits on radio.
That's where id go with it, not pure bluegrass but with a pop influence.
Enjoyed it. Sounds good nice melody

John & Michael,
I was looking at this one about to turn to page two.......which as we know is kind of like a "blue hole." I thought I'd snag it before it fell into that abyss. I hadn't heard this'n, but just absolutely enjoyed it! Like Vic said above, just makes you happy--happy is a good thing when there seems so much in this world that constantly interrupts our joy. Bluegrass yes but it seemed to have a little modern country ho-down feel too. Nicely arranged by Mr. Z and great vocals. Glad I took a look down the page!
