We had a stingray 5 because they were all that. Then a guy came over to my home studio and brought a Squire jazz 5 bass to play. I was floored. That bass's note balance was out of this world and had such a nice come, sit & stay in the mix, I sold the stingray and bought me a squire jazz 5 for 180.00. Never looked back. Squire guitars are sketchy but these basses available in black are worth a look.
