It's hard to do what I am told My hearing is selective I'm a hard headed cave - man Romantically defective
Pre Chorus..... I have no training, I'm unskilled But in my mind, you'll be thrilled And I know how a steak is gRilled Or I can eat it raw

Wonderful cacophony of sound! "And I know how a steak is gilled Or I can eat it raw" Reminds me of a band I was once in, and I mean that in a good way.

Very different Calvin. I don't personally have the wavelength that the song was written on but I did enjoy listening to something different that made me stop and think about it.

Calvin, Once again I am fascinated by your musical track. It's innovative. It's eerie. A perfect fit for this American gothic hillbilly yarn.

Hi Calvin I am supposing the steak is grilled instead of gilled, right?
I must admit, I prefer the lyrics over the music. I think this would be super wonderful if done almost like the Kentucky Headhunters used to do their music...remember them? The lyrics are super cool...keep up the great work Kim

Hi Calvin,
Your songs do two seemingly contradictory things: They each create their own distinct universe yet have your strong unmistakable stamp.
This is like the Batman Theme and Take Five smooshed together, and like they had always meant to be. It reminds me a little of the band "The Residents" (a group you'd probably love, if you don't know them)--probably the only musical act that rivals you in terms of originality and bent sounds and narratives.
Love it!
Mike

Hi Mike,
It's always nice to have you pop in to listen & give me your thoughts. You certainly have a vast knowledge of all things musical, & I can certainly appreciate that !
NO, I didn't know who "The Residents" were, but now I do :-) I notice they're not exactly politically correct :-)

Calvin, you rascal:
You have invented a new genre for us according to Jan and Bud! Southern Gothic. Fame is heading your way, my friend... and that usually relates to Big Money!
