We simply love your compositions. No matter the sub-genre or the theme there is always the element of the slightly mysterious or at times perhaps mischievous in them.
Superb!

John, always love your work and this one is no exception. You have such a subtle touch. You really seem to become one with the piano when you play. I guess that is the difference between a musician and an artist. And you sir, are an artist!

Hi John,
Very thoughtful composition. I'm reminded of the French Six--maybe Satie most, in the chordal choices and voluptuous phrasing of those chords. Melody is not a separate thought, but more a resultant of the top notes of many of these chords.
I can imagine this in many kinds of media and productions. It's quite lovely!

My wife is teaching a piano lesson right now, so the pianos are colliding a bit (ha, ha) -- but this is a well crafted and performed piano tune for sure.
Nice mood and works perfectly for the genre you are writing for here. Good luck on this one!!!

I'm with Kurt, especially after seeing the picture you have with it. Although...staring at the picture while listening, I could imagine a hand coming through the gate with freakishly long fingernails, reaching for her head and then....

sigh....I've missed you and your music. I was just thinking how I used to rock my son to sleep while playing your songs and today he plays the keyboard and makes up his own tunes...aren't you the teacher? I loved this and the slow builds and descending notes are so soothing...lovely stuff.

Hi John,
This was fantastic, loved it. It's a great example how "rests" can effect the mood with a piano especially.

Tammy Thanks for sharing that Tams! I always thought that the best thing one can do for young minds is to set good examples. Good to see you back on JPF. Best, John
