this is something I came up with while i was messing around with some Nick Drake tunings with my Breedlove...... It's recorded with a Rode NT condenser mic into a Mackie 1402 VLZ Pro into a Delta 10/10 slaved to a Lucid GENx6 96 superclock into Reaper....this is my first time using Reaper and I really don't dig it but, it did the job..... Tuning is CGCFCE....................and capo 2nd fret...... like a D major kind of thing......I really like how the strings sing open....ya know? Bass is my cheap SX P Bass direct into the Mackie with a drop D tuning.... anyways...it is what it is.... Reaperpie at Soundcloud

Sounds good. If you just got Reaper, the first thing you should do is go to the options menu and near the bottom is Themes....click on Classic 4 (rather than default), and then you will be able to see what you are doing!

Hi Joro,
Sounds like the tuning on "Pink Moon" so I was half expecting a right hand piano solo.
Quite an imaginative track. You work a nice melody in the lower strings while the open ones drone on beautifully.

Very cool, joro...
Sounded like a Stephen Stills thing... was almost expecting some CSN vocals to start... (nice bass line, too!)

floyd nailed it for us...yes, a Stills thing -- and that is good in our book. Open D is always cool when done right like this.
Nice!

Cool instrumental. I like the drone. It has a richness that's pleasant to the ears.

What a pleasure to listen to this. As a non-musician, I know nothing about open tunings, but this sure sounds fine to me. Lovely laid-back vibe, but enough change-ups to keep it interesting. Donna
