sometimes I stop in here and scribble little notes, free-verse. a friend took me to the movies came away with this thought after.
A Thousand Yards Out
The soul is not rated, here at the hand of God fat lady sings my favorite song life ends a thousand yards out.
In God we trust, never foot the bill, "never carry truth and indecision in one hand" Drop the bomb, the fifty`s on its way, the bolt get harder to lift.
Remember, the blindfold fits the dollar will get you home. Never flinch, pennies in place light this damn cigarette.
God let Me pray, We never were there... we die in all different ways.

As Mike says. Pretty deep.
Not sure if it's a guy about to face a firing squad or not but I like it. Poetic.
