Hello Frank, I get this and it's very cool. Best of all it's different! I think the story is great, and the music should be a breeze. Hell, I even like you're definition at the bottom! Now...., maybe it's just my Texas tongue but I'm having one heck of a time singing "Few". Maybe I'm trying to make it sound like something it's not. I guess it's sung exactly as it's wrote huh? Then I get to the two different countries, and I'm really in trouble. I think this will be killer with a singer that can articulate very well. One like me, not so much, lol. Great writing! Again, I really love the originality. David

Hey David, I'm having trouble seeing you having trouble with "few." Heck, go ahead and say "if you" few like! The distinguishing parts of "country" are a matter of emphasis. COUNTRY club (that's the one with the pool table). Thanks bunches for your enthusiastic response! Hello man of many first names, I appreciates the kind words, chum, though I'm afraid my etchings tend more toward irrelevance than irreverence. lol

I've had trouble with easier things than "FEW" before. I know, just sing it the way it's written! I think with the correct vocals, this one kicks. Fun song!

Hi Frank,
Hey -- this is cool! Good one!
I don't get the "few" at all! Even if I read it as "if you" I don't get it, because why are you out of luck if you like the song?!!!
????
I think the hoity-toity country club should be sung with a British accent -- maybe Travis can stand up there with the singer and when he gets to that part, he can run up to the mic and, in his hoity-toity way, say it! LOL!

Lisa, I see my explanation counted for little. lol "FEW" is simply the country pronunciation of "If you." This song is supposed to open with some sort of boring elevator music as the singer speaks. THEN, in line 4, it turns into country rock. I love your idea with the many-named one!!! Thanks, Douglas.

Good one Frank. I'm still trying to get my lyric-legs, so nothing to add there. I'm more of a music man. I can't wait to hear this set to music. I'd love to kick in and help, if you need any help there. I like it a lot! This totally belongs on the radio...

Frank,
I finally printed this out and started to take a much closer look, so as to stimulate my musical gears... and I noticed the last line of verse 2 is "We're just plain folks who like to dance".
Was that just a coincidence, or is it a plug for jpfolks ? Just curious...
I'll be in touch, Paul

Mercy, Paul! I was getting near the end of page two looking for this thing. No wonder I couldn't find it, dang ya! lol No coincidence on that. I think I mentioned JPF in my preface, even. Great. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Thanks.

Thanks to everyone for your responses. I am having to close my business next month and am spending every possible minute putting together large lots to try and sell on ebay.
Paul this speaker is blown so I can't even listen to what you did. Will get back to you after I land... if I land. Looking kind of bleak, presently.
