An older song (a bit of Southern Clapto Rock)....I rewrote and recorded with my friend Tony a few days ago...I don't normally sing this way but I thought it might be fun to try it out....... Tell me what you think mix, production...etc.. ...and how it could be better.... https://www.reverbnation.com/ihor/song/19714739-tell-me-what-is-trueTELL ME WHAT IS TRUE©lyrics/music 2016 I.Wolosenko Lead guitar / Bass - Tony DiGregorio Vocals / Guitar / Keys - Iggy2Verse 1 Tell ..... me, tell me that you love me Hold me ..........like you won't let go Kiss me .... kiss me......like you want me lately.......... It just doesn't show CHORUS: 'Cause I've tried to make you see You mean more ...than my life to me So tell me everything's alright ...... Tell me what is true..... Verse 2 They say ....... you been finding trouble I hear stories....whispering through town You keep saying .......there have been no others Holding you... when I'm not around CHORUS: 'Cause I've tried to make you see You mean more ...than my life to me So tell me everything's alright ...... Tell me what is true..... INSTRUMENTAL: BRIDGE: Couldn't live without you in my life Couldn't go on that way Thinking of a world ...without you.. girl Driving me insane Outro: Sometimes ...... I start thinking crazy This life with you is killing me

The base line makes me think of "White Room." I always liked that song. Enjoyed this one too.

Good song with a cool vibe and solid performance! You definitely captured the essence of Clapton/Cream in this tune, and made it your own.
I absolutely LOVE the sound of the acoustic guitar on this recording. I thought your vocal performance was solid and fit the song perfectly. The production is high quality as well.
Nice guitar solo; very tasty. Maybe a tad too hot in the mix but I liked it.
Cool song and excellent sound.
Peace, TC

I also hear a strong Cream influence. To tell the truth, this may be better than the Cream.

If anyone would like to know what "The Fresh Cream" would sound like with Roy Orbison on board--this is it! I forgot how much I liked this vibe. Loved everything about this, even the placement of the bridge before outro--cool. I think this is definitely a vibe perfect for your vocals.
Great song,performance & production. Solid.

Hi Iggy and Tony, Well I'd listen to anything Scott Walker did, too. Both of you are stuck with having essentially crooners voices, more suited for ballads perhaps. But yeah, Martin (and everyone) nailed it..when you sing "sometimes" --that is SOOO Jack Bruce, and I love it. Great to hear you stretch--it didn't come off like one. You sound right at home here, more than I can say about Scott Walker's "The Lady Came From Baltimore" lol.. Tony's guitar work is extraordinarily good. Love it! Stay bitchin' guys.. Mike

I hope you know how good your vocal works on this number. The backing is perfect and I sure enjoyed the whole nine yards of this song. Well done. Keep 'em coming!

TC,
Appreciate your comments....I'm very slowly learning my recording tools and I'm noticing a big difference in the sound I can get.......The acoustic guitar is a Collings Dreadnaught ..a very sweet instrument...

Way cool guys! Very pro! This is a good concert/ live song. Lead voice gives me a Roy Orbison vibe. Best, John

Very well done! Loved the vocal, music tracks and that lead guitar tone! The bad: I didn't like the chorus melody. I thought it should be more passionate. If you started it with your outro line, (Sometimes ...... I start thinking crazy) and melody, I think it would be much stronger. Best of luck! -Mike
P.S. Sheepdogs (I Don't Know) would like this...

This is so good Iggy (et al) Grooving to it as I type. Will be coming back to listen again Like the way it ends to---just that muffled beat
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the great feedback...I'll try ratcheting up the emotional tone of the chorus...although it's more confessional and desperately hopeful....the frustration doesn't really light up till the end...

Hello Friend!
As someone who is married to her vinyl of "Disraeli Gears", I am loving the vibe and vocal. This was fab, I really enjoyed the melody and production...
I had come up with a melody for "The Time We Get" and it haunted me for a long while, I've done a few songs since then, but we almost had a song there..LOL, counting down the days 'til FAWM, I am missing my FAWMily.
