Love's Not LoveBy Gregg Goldner *Special Thanks to Crystal Stark for the vocals* http://www.myspace.com/gregggoldner V1You said you really loved me Then you ripped my heart in two You never really loved me You just used me until you were through PRECHORUSEvery time That I think that I've found my someone I'm more lost then before So I'll wait 'till I find him I know he's out there Because this much I know CH(Love's not Love) If it leaves you empty (Love's not love) If it fades away (Love's not Love) If it's cold and lonely If it falls and it breaks At the slightest mistake It's not Love V2You say you'll change, you're sorry But your words are just noise in my ear Cuz this waste of time we called "love" Is over, so get out, disappear Pre-Chorus Chorus BRIDGELove, I will find it I know there is someone out there for me Who will love me And hold me in his arms until the end LAST CHORUSIf it leaves you alone In an empty place If it makes you run 'round In a useless chase If it's fading away As the tears roll down your face Say goodbye, don't look back Cuz it's not love It's not love

Hey Gregg, I really like the chorus lyrically. The rest of the lyric doesn't do much for me on paper, but it works pretty well on the audio in this genre.

Hi gregg, I think this one has so much potential. It sounds like a song that ann and nancy wilson could have done and I know that out there somewhere that has to still be a few real rock chicks around.Rock is actually my favorite genre but since I have three teenagers ,my radio pretty much stay on rap and R&B(and I'm not very happy about that).Although I think that your vocalist did a great job,you need someone who can really make this rock(which unfortunately is not me,cuz I cant sing at all)...I know of someone who this song would be great for and i cant remember her name.if I think of it I will let you know...but anyway...like I said..I like this ALOT. Thanks Michelle, I love Ann and Nancy's music and I'm so glad that you like the song. Let me know if remember the name of the person that this song would be great for. I'm not really sure where to go next with this song, so any advice would be fantastic!
Gregg
P.S.- I can't sing either!

I think this is really a great song, with great vocals and music. I could hear Beyonce singing this one. Good stuff!! Kimberly

Thanks Michelle and Kimberly! Either Fergie or Beyonce would be awesome on this song. I really appreciate that you both got the song, and it worked for you. I'm really proud of this song and I hope that it's not just me that thinks it's good.
As for pitching, the question is, who?
Can anyone shed some light on, who to contacts when they have a song that might be working?
I recently joined BMI and have done a lot of research, but I'm quite confused in general. I'm aware of the publisher route, but I'm not sure who will listen to an unknown, that could actually get the song into the right people's hands.
Thanks for again for all of your kind words! Gregg

Hi again Gregg, Actually i have the same questions.Wish I could help.I really have no idea where to start.I'm considering joining Taxi, because i've heard that they have pretty good connections and can get your songs into the hands of the"right"people. Also Song U(I am a member there also)can get you lots of pitching opportunities also, from what I've heard.I think that i'm gonna try that route myself very soon.Other than that ,I think its about putting yourself out there and making contacts with lots of people who know lots of people who might have some good connections. Please keep us updated on your progress with this song, because it definitely needs to be heard by and pitched to someone great. Michelle

Gregg, this song has good energy. I think that the vocals are quite good. The lyrics work.

Thanks Tom, Lyrics are something I really struggle with. I re-wrote this one many times, so it's good to hear that that they're working.
As for the vocals, the singer is Crystal Stark. I asked a friend of mine, "who's the best singer in town," and he introduced me to her. Now that I've worked with her, I couldn't agree more.
And it's good that she sang on the demo, because trust me; no one should be subjected to listening to my voice on a demo!
Thanks again, Gregg
