Hi Dottie:
Does BMI have a database of it's entire catalog similar to the one ASCAP provides? If so, and your song is registered with BMI, you should be able to find the listing and all associated numbers assigned to "Wayward Wings." I hope this helps... and congratulations on the contract...(read carefully and look for the reversion clause... LOL!)
All the best,
Dave

Hey Dottie,
Could I make a suggestion ?
Please delete your post, and ask a few folks via PM. Business is usually discussed in private.
I'll send you a PM.
cheers, niteshift

Yes, Dottie, Dave is correct BMI does have a database with such. Just go to BMI.com and click on search in the upper right hand corner and put in the title of your song. It shows all the numbers and information.

I assume you (and) your co-writer's have registered your copyright. You shouldn't need any numbers to sign a Single Song Contract. You should get a Reversion Clause in the Publishing Contract of no more than 3 years in case the song isn't cut the song automaticly reverts to you.
If the Publisher gets the song cut, he will, or should register the song with your Pro. Until that time there is no reason to register the song with your Pro. DO READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY !
There is no such thing as a Standard Publishing Contract and everyone will be somewhat different.
If you have more questions be sure to ask. Good Luck!

BMI did tell me that I need the other # and to contract Nashville online services. They open at 11:00 am my time so I guess I'll keep trying. Thanks. Dottie
