Is this love that you offer me tonight and will it last long past the hours that I hold you tight
Most guys enjoy those one night stands casual romance that holds no demands but with a girl like you I've got other plans if you're thinking that'll be all right.
Chorus-
I'm a romanticist seeking more than just a brief escape from my lonely blues, I'd like to stick around a while sharing the beauty of your smile if I'm the kind of guy you'd choose....
But if you want a fling just let me know I'll go and put on my walking shoes, I've had my share of those, and it's all right I suppose.. but it feels like we're just getting screwed.
I need some long conversations on my lonely nights, before the passion erupts and sweet bliss ignites, I want to find the inner you in more then just one place, just spending time together playing kissy face.
I'm not a shallow guy, my needs demand much more, than that "Wham, Bam, Thank you Mam!" then out the door, I'd rather wake up every morning knowing you'll be there, I need a love that goes beyond some motel room we'll share.
Chorus-
I'm a romanticist seeking more than just a brief escape from my lonely blues, I'd like to stick around a while sharing the beauty of your smile if I'm the kind of guy you'd choose....
But if you want a fling just let me know I'll go and put on my walking shoes, I've had my share of those, and it's all right I suppose.. but it feels like we're just getting screwed.

Hey MFB,
Well, how in the world could she turn this highly romantic offer down? Can you imagine her telling her friends, "I left him because....." LOL!

MFB, I like the idea, not common in songs, that a guy would want something more than the "one-night"ers. You've done this with a sweet bit of irony. Does it sing well?

Hey Lisa, Mackie, Pamela and Travis, I agree it is a different approach, but even the most macho of guys gets tired of the brevity of love that is temporal. there's always the cold dawn alone again, and the hunt for nights to come to find something more.~~~~MFB III

HiDee Bro Matt...
Nice Thoughtful-Guy Sentiments here...Singer sounds like "A Keeper"...heh!
The "getting screwed" Line felt a tad Blunt...It'd be More Romantic, JMO, if that got Softened-a-Bit by final re-write.
All in All, Sure Does make Singer Look Good--
Good Luck with it, Amigo!
Best Wishes & A Big Guy-Hug, Stan

hey Michael, Stan And Douglas,Thanks for the comments and suggestions, I will think about changing that line on getting screwed, even though that's what it is in the long run. ~~MFB III
