Storms Pass
Tonight there's a longing as I gaze upon the stars All the wonders of heaven that reach us from afar Northern lights seldom seen for a short time remain While the warm breeze sighs at the gentle fall of rain The silver streaks of raindrops are reminders As they fall on the face of an empty man Remembering when they fell on us both When we walked in storms holding hands The dark clouds would gather And the lightning would flash so bright Then the cracking sound in the distance Our whole world would become void of light We opened the door to the splendor of heaven And held each other in a warm embrace While candles flickered on yonder tables We drink with lust from each kiss we taste Moments in time fleeting, drifting from minds embrace Bound by these shackles the feelings unable to shake And my soul cries as if trapped in some dismal abyss My lips tremble recalling the warm breath from your kiss

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
